'Learning and Achieving Together'
‘A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities.'
At Hobletts Manor Junior School we aim to provide opportunities for our pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and wellbeing. Children have opportunities for structured and unstructured exercise through adult led instruction and self led exploration (e.g. outside gym). All children have access to two hours of curriculum PE, enriched with opportunities to attend a variety of before and after school clubs. We promote competition in sport and other activities so as to build character and help to embed key values such as fairness and respect. As a school we teach our children skills which they can continue to apply, broaden and develop through participation in a variety of inter and intra school activities and competitions. We are able to offer pathway opportunities for children through our strong community club links, which we look to continue to develop. We encourage our children to enjoy and value the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and compete with others. We support our children in being able to evaluate their performance and recognise their own successes.
Through a variety of roles, children are able to undertake leadership roles to help support others and develop their own skills.
