    Team Turquoise 2025/26.

Your class teachers are Mrs Vipond and Miss Smith.
Your teaching assistants are Mrs Buck and Mrs Rogers

What a busy week we have had in Team Turquoise!

In Maths, we have learnt how to use a ruler and a protractor to measure the length of sides and angles. We then used them to draw accurate diagrams of shapes. We also learnt about the properties of circles and what radius, diameter and circumference.

In English, we started work on 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. We wrote poetry based on the story and thought of figurative language to describe Scrooge. We then ended the week by writing a character description of Scrooge and watching the film!

In Science, we found out how to create a circuit with a switch and created circuits with bulbs, buzzers and motors. We discussed what electrical objects have switches and why. In PSHE, we found out about some amazing paralympians and how they have fantastic and interesting lives. In RE, we finished our sacred and secular Christmas card designs and in Computing we interrogated an alien database to find out facts about them.

Next week in Maths, we are finding out the names and properties of 3D shapes and investigating how t make nets of these shapes. In English, we will carry on with our work on 'A Christmas Carol' and will be writing a setting description.

We will also be performing in the year 5/6 Christmas Carol assembly on Monday at 9.15am, we will be taking part in a drama workshop based on 'A Christmas Carol'  and on Wednesday we will be making robots and programming them in our DT workshop.

We will also be carrying on with all our other subjects across the curriculum.

Have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.
