Learning and Achieving Together
Remote education is a broad term encompassing any learning that happens outside the classroom, with the teacher not present in the same location as the pupils.
We have worked together to develop our approach in the use of Google Classroom and our journey this year is documented in our 2021 newsletters. A copy of our launch letter is also detailed below for your information.
The document below has been written to provide clarity and transparency to our families about what to expect from remote education at Hobletts Manor Junior School when national (or local) restrictions require entire teams (or bubbles) to remain at home. Our provision is based upon the uniqueness of our school and based upon feedback from our families and grounded in research and guidance from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), Department for Education (DfE) and Ofsted. This document details the bespoke arrangements that we have in place for our children and does so through addressing key areas of our practice and responding to frequently asked questions from our families.
We remain committed to keeping our provision under regular review, responsive to feedback, guidance and best practice study.
Using Xbox or Play Station to access Google Classrooms
Google Classroom can be opened on both an Xbox and Playstation.
If your child has a keyboard, they can plug in and use it to have a much easier navigation time. Otherwise, they can use their controller to click on their year group , open up assignments and type. They will be able to open learning activities/resources and interact with Live sessions and written activities.
