Well done Team Topaz!
We are all so incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication you have shown in preparing and revising for the SATs exams over the last few weeks, and we could not be any prouder of how you have approached taking the tests this week. All the children have shown maturity, commitment and resilience in completing them.
Again, a big well done to all of you!
I am happy to say that following the final test on Thursday, the children have been relaxing and having fun with extra PE sessions, beginning our Art topic for this half term and starting our DT topic for this half term.
In Art, we started work on a graffiti project and began by designing a graffiti 'tag' of our names. In DT, we started to sew! We began by learning how to thread a needle and tie a knot as well as learning how to sew with running-stitch, back-stitch and over-stitch. Next week will be starting work on our cushions.
We are also looking forward to Curriculum Week starting. Monday is geography day which is followed by music day on Tuesday. Wednesday is the turn of art and Thursday is French day.
On Thursday we would like to invite the children to come to school in a costume inspired by France. This could be a famous French person or an outfit in the colours of the French flag. There is a prize per year group for the most inspirational outfit! This is, of course, purely optional with school uniform as the alternative.
Have a lovely, restful weekend. We look forward to seeing you on Monday.
