This week we have been writing our balanced arguments about tourism in mountainous areas. We have tried to include lots of different causal conjunctions, rhetorical questions and relative pronouns to show the for and against view points. In maths, we have been consolidating our ability to tell the time using 12 and 24-hour clocks. We have worked out duration of flight times, bus journeys and events and completed a class timetable using clues. Next week we will start learning about polygons and missing angles.
In science, we leaned about the human lifecycle and how it is different to amphibians. We discussed how a baby is different to a baby zebra and the reasons for this. Next time, we will be comparing different lifecycles. In RE, we looked at different creation stories and wrote a summary of them. In Music, we learned to sing a new song and pick out the rhythm and beats. In PSHE we learned about puberty in girls. Next week, we will be learning about puberty in boys. In geography, we learned about the different types of mountains and how they are formed. We looked at pictures of them in different places around the world.
Next week is Sports week. Please remember to come in PE kits each day. Sports Day is on Friday.
PE days are Monday and Wednesday each week.
