We have had a very busy and very warm week!

In English, we have continued with our work inspired by 'Odd and the Frost Giants' and wrote a descriptive piece that focusses on the moment that Odd meets the Frost Giant. We used a range of descriptive devices to bring the scene to life as well as dialogue to progress the action.

In Science this week, we created a human model of the circulatory system. We found out that the heart pumps blood to the lungs then back to the heart. The blood is then pumped around the body and returns to the heart de-oxygenated. It then goes back to the lungs to collect more oxygen. We created a person with tables and represented blood with different colours to represent oxygenation and deoxygenation.

In RE, we found out how Christians and Buddhists represent their beliefs through dance and created our own dance to represent our beliefs and in PSHE we thought about self esteem and body-image and how it is important to develop your own self-esteem. We also discussed our thoughts when thinking about what makes a person beautiful. In Music, we continued with our cornet lessons, led by Mr Eccles.

We have also been rehearsing for our end of year play, 'The Pirates of the Curry Bean', which we are performing to our families on the 15th July (1.30pm) and 16th July (6.00pm).

Next week in Mathematics, we are going to learn more about circles and how to draw the perfect one with a pair of compasses. In English, we will be starting our work on a new book, 'Oceanology'.

We are also looking forward to Sports Week and our Sports Day and Family Picnic on Friday.

Have a lovely weekend, we look forward to seeing you on Monday.
