It has been lovely to have everyone back in school after the half-term break!

In Maths, we have been revising the place value of numbers, how to round whole and decimal numbers to powers of ten and how to calculate with negative numbers. Our revision poster this week was on the subject of metric measures, and we were able to reproduce the key facts about this topic with ease by the end of the week! In English, we found out what advocacy poetry is and wrote our own advocacy poem trying to convince everyone to help save our planet!

In Science, we started our 'Evolution and Inheritance' topic by designing butterflies that would survive in the wild by camouflaging them effectively. In PSHE, we found out what we can do to take responsibility for our own health and well-being and in Geography, we found out what damage humans are doing to the environment and we can do at home to stop this! In French, we found out the French names for countries around the world and used the verb 'aller' which means 'to go' and in RE, we found out about the life of Jesus.

Next week in Maths, we are revising fractions, decimals and percentages and our revision poster will be about triangles and in English, we are beginning work on a biography! We will also be carrying on with all of our other subjects across the curriculum.
