Hello everyone. We hope that you’ve had a good week. What a great way to end the week, celebrating Jeans for Genes day today. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

We’ve had another busy week, starting with English. We have enjoyed reading ‘Mini Rabbit Not Lost.’ We’ve learnt how to create dialogue between two people, use prepositions and verbs in our writing and created interesting sentences using conjunctions. Next week we will plan and write a short story of someone going on a journey.

In maths this week we have built upon our learning from last week, developing strategies to add combine addends together to make ten. As the week has gone on, we have learnt how to combine addends together, bridging ten. Next week will continue to learn to use the 'make ten' strategy for addends that bridge ten.

In Science this week, we have created an investigation. We thought about the question, ‘What do plants need for life and growth?’ From there, we worked together to create an investigation to find out. We have planted seeds and removed one basic need for each, so that we can observe their growth over a period of time.

In RE this week we learnt about the 5 pillars of Islam, thinking about what each means and how a Muslim person would achieve each one. We then went on to think about the promises we could make to ourselves and our families in order to become our best selves.

In computing we have been learning how to do coding. The lesson was challenging but everyone managed to create their own background and add a person and an animal to their screen.

In Music, we have been learning a new song, learning the notes, rhythm, and playing glockenspiels.
