We would like to thank you in advance for continuing to support your child to undertake their recommended Home Learning tasks and hope that the additional resources provided promotes a positive experience for you as a family as we look to build your child’s confidence, develop their organisational and time management skills and promote their independence as a learner.

Reading- independent/ shared/paired this could be your child’s ‘We Choose, You Choose book’, a magazine, audio book or comic. Anything that promotes a love of reading and books! |
Five times a week as a recommendation for all children, 7+ times a week to achieve the Reading Challenge. To support your child develop their reading stamina we would suggest a minimum of 10 minutes each evening for children in Year 3, increasing in increments of 5 minutes as they move through the school |

Thank you for ensuring that your child’s weekly reading is shared with us by 9am. each Friday morning so that we can celebrate this together. This can be done via a note, verbal message to a member of the team, their Reading Record or online Reading Log. |

Spellings – team pages contain spelling lists as a resource for you. Classteachers can provide information on the list most appropriate for your child to practice, please do pop in and see them if you would find it helpful. In addition, your child’s class will also have key spellings that the class will focus on each half term. |
