'Learning and Achieving Together'
'A high-quality science education provides the foundations for understanding the world through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics. Science has changed our lives and is vital to the world’s future prosperity, and all pupils should be taught essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of science.'
At Hobletts Manor Junior School, we aim to equip the children with the knowledge, attitude and skills that they will need to prepare them for the future. We live in an increasingly scientific world, which the children are given the opportunity to explore, question and investigate. We plan a wide range of lessons to ensure a balanced curriculum in the three disciplines of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. At Hobletts Manor Junior School we teach practical, investigative lessons which allow the children to develop an interest and curiosity about their environment. We look to allow the children to experience first-hand the changes happening in the world around them. Through our teaching we aim to encourage and develop the children's ability to reason, communicate, work as a team, reflect and develop respect
In our school we aim to meet the needs of all children by differentiation in planning and in providing a variety of approaches and tasks appropriate to ability levels.
