We have a had a very busy week!

In Maths, we practised finding the fractions of shape and how to convert those fractions into decimals and percentages. We also practised how to find missing numbers in column addition, subtraction and multiplication questions. In English, we have started writing descriptions based on the book, 'Odd and Frost Giants'. We imagined a conversation between Odd and the Giant and wrote it with amazing synonyms and perfect punctuation.

In Science, we found out about human lungs and that they put oxygen into the blood and take carbon dioxide out. We measured our lung capacity by seeing how far we could blow a ball with a single breath! In RE, we thought about what Christians believe about the Holy Trinity and shared what we thought and what we had found out. In PSHE, we thought about loss and the stages of grief. We looked at different situations that involve loss and discussed what would be easy or hard to deal with. In History, we found out the life of the Ancient Maya and created fantastic posters to show what we had found out and in Art, we continued practising writing in a graffiti style and different techniques to colour our designs.

Next week in Maths, we will be practising measuring lines and angles and the names and properties of 2D and 3D shapes. In English, we will be practising and revising for grammar and reading tests as well as writing our descriptions of Odd and the Frost Giants. We will also be carrying on with our other subjects across the curriculum.
